The Palace Hotel is on the corner of Whitworth Street and Oxford Street opposite the Palace Theatre, the Cornerhouse Arts Centre & Sainsbury’s Local.

The entrance to Copper Face Jacks is the one on the corner of the Palace hotel building facing across the junction toward Sainsbury’s Local (same entrance as Tempus Restaurant).

Getting there by Public Transport

By Bus

The Palace Hotel is passed by a large number of bus routes serving the south of Manchester including bus numbers 41, 42, 43, 85, 86, 111, 141, 142, 143.

From other areas of the city, Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Walk down Portland Street to the junction with Oxford Street (McDonalds restaurant opposite). Turn left down Oxford Street, passing the Palace Theatre on your left. The entrance to the festival is on the corner facing you.

Free MetroShuttle buses connect the Palace Hotel with the city’s main stations & shopping areas. The Palace is served directly by purple route M2 which connects directly with Victoria train station & Shudehill bus station via Deansgate & Spinningfields. By Train

Manchester Oxford Road Station is directly opposite the Palace Hotel with direct trains from Liverpool, Leeds, Sheffield & beyond as well as connections to Manchester Piccadilly Station. Exit the station and walk down the access road. At the bottom of the slope turn right past Cornerhouse Arts Centre. The entrance to the festival is on the opposite side of the road.

Manchester Piccadilly Station is approximately 12 minutes walk from the festival. Exit station down the esculators onto Fairfield Steet. Cross the road onto Whitworth Street. Follow Whitworth Street crossing Sackville Street and Princess Street. The entrance to the festival is on the corner opposite the Palace Theatre.

Victoria Station is approximately 20 minutes walk. If catching train to Victoria, if your ticket names the destination as Manchester Central Zone (Manchester CTLZ) then you may use Metrolink trams within the city centre for free. Take Altrincham, Eccles or Chorlton (St Werburgh Road) line trams and alight at St Peters Square.

By Tram (Metrolink)

St Peters Square Metrolink tram station is approximately 4 minutes walk away. St Peters Square is served by trams to / from Altrincham, Eccles & Chorlton (St Werburgh’s Road). From Bury, it may be necessary to change trams at Piccadilly Gardens.

St Peters Square is at the end of Oxford Street. With Manchester Central Library (under refurbishment) behind you, walk straight ahead down Oxford Street.  Cross Portland Street & continue straight ahead. After passing The Palace Theatre, the entrance to the festival is on the corner facing you.
